Since their third-place finish in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge , TORC Technology’s had quite a climb — the company founded by Virginia Tech graduates has since provided IED-scouting Humvee kits to the US Military, and a vehicle for the blind uses the drive-by-wire platform that they designed. Now, the Marines are testing a TORC kit called the Ground Unmanned Support Surrogate (GUSS), which autonomously navigate off-road terrain.

Hands-on with Hulu Plus via Samsung HDTV, iPhone and iPad
After months of speculation the wait is almost over and Hulu Plus is just about upon us . Hulu was nice enough to share an invite with us so we could to try it out — sorry, we don’t have any extras — and we happen to have a Samsung LED LCD TV in the lab to give it a go. And of course, we also tried it the old fashioned way (in the browser) as well as via Hulu Desktop , on the iPhone, and on the iPad — sadly it isn’t live on the Xbox 360 or PS3 yet

Packard Bell ‘s launched a refresh of its Dot line — at least internationally — with the 10.1-inch S4. The company’s thinned it down considerably here, and stuffed an Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail CPU, GMA 3150 graphics, up to 2GB of RAM, and an up to 250GB hard drive
