RIM’s Blackberry Tablet might be seven inches, feature dual cameras and 1GHz CPU?

The rumor mill’s been churning out quite the picture of RIM’s Blackberry tablet over the past several months, and it’s a research analyst who’s most recently picked up the brush — Ashok Kumar of Rodman & Renshaw, to be precise, who anticipates a 7-inch touchscreen device with a 1GHz processor, plus front- and back-facing cameras for video chat. Since that’s a good 1.9 inches smaller than the slate rumored a couple months back, this latest spiel fills us with doubt… but hey, it’s not like we had confirmation that RIM was even producing such a device, anyhow.

HTC Aria update for AT&T enables mobile hotspot, sideloaded app support (update: disappointment)

Well, this is genuinely awesome: it seems AT&T is pulling back from its ban on third-party sideloaded apps on its Android devices, because HTC has just released an Aria update that enables them (either that or HTC just went rogue here, but we highly doubt it).

Hey, remember that iPhone class-action lawsuit we poked around in a couple months ago and discovered Apple’s lawyers confirming the original five year AT&T exclusivity agreement ? Well, get ready to hear about it a lot more in the months to come, as the judge in the case has officially certified the case as a class action, meaning it now officially includes anyone who’s ever bought an iPhone on AT&T. If you’ll recall, the argument is that iPhone customers signed up for a two-year contract without being told that AT&T had an exclusive for five years — thus in reality being held to the carrier for an additional three years without recourse

Mysterious Dell Mini 3v outted by Chinese mobile regulator, doesn’t know its OS

Fancy playing a game of “guess the phone?” Dell’s got one for you — the folks over at Chinese mobile regulator TENAA have once again prematurely outed another handset from said computer giant. As usual, there’s no mention on the screen size, screen type or even the OS, but we’re told that this plain-looking Mini 3v runs on both TD-SCDMA (i.e. China Mobile ) and GSM networks (HSDPA supported)

Designer Adam Hammerman’s concept — the Uplink Audio Strap System — is for all you sports enthusiasts that want to listen to tunes while running but don’t want to be bothered with headphones. It can connect with a variety of different mobile devices, and boasts four ultrasound speakers, meaning that you can hear the music but nobody else can, so you’re not disturbing the peace! For outdoorsy types, of course, it would be a much safer system for things like running, since you would still be able to hear the street noise around you, and the device would also have flexible solar panels which charge the speakers on the go. It’s just a concept for now, but one we’d like to see in reality.
